generally speaking, poverty as defined is the lack of common things like food, clothing, shelter and lack of access to education and employment.
poverty has been a problem for centuries now and sad to say, there's still a big and growing problem with this, especially now when the global economy is at its downfall.
people usually point poor governance, poor economic stability as the cause of poverty-all of which concerning to the people in authority. but, let's not put all the blame to these people because if we root it back, the major cause of this, is us, ourselves.
we are the one who elect our leaders. we make our own decisions. we have our own will but then these privileges are not used correctly and leads us to these victims of poverty.
it's a sad thing to know that majority of these victims are the innocent little kids. at an early age, they are forced to work for their family just to have something to eat. at a young age, they are deprived of the 'luxuries' a child could have, playing with toys, eating nutritious food and just enjoy life in the way how they perceive it as enjoyable but status quo shows us the other way around. these parents neglect their responsibilities as mother and father. some abandon their kids, some practice corporal punishment, some of which depends on the 'libreng lugaw' of some parishes.
these children are too young to experience the bitterness of life. they should be treated well, give them the right food, send them to school and allow them to play like normal kids do because at the end of the day, it was not and never their decision and liking to be on that situation but it's how their parents thought they could be the answer to their problem.
in summary, don't make poverty as an excuse and barrier in achieving your dreams because these children are always in jeopardy, they are the ones who suffer the consequences.

yah.
ReplyDeletewe should blame ourselves if we suffer poverty since we are responsible for ourselves and our family.
I totally agree with you. The main reason why some people are poor are themselves! For the adults - They should at least find a way to sustain their needs. I'm not on the government side but, how will they progress if they don't work for it. Are they just waiting for sheer luck and for people to have pity on them?
ReplyDeleteBut in the case of the poor children, we should blame their parents. Its their responsibility to take care for them. These children should be given all their necessities and provide them proper nutrition and education. Some kids depends only to charities, but this isn't right. They should be in school rather than begging in the streets and look pitiful in the eyes of people.
Poverty doesn't have an easy solution and I think that as the years pass by, when corruption will worsen, the number of people who suffer from poverty will increase. Hope this will not happen....
