Honestly speaking I really don't know if I can consider myself bookish or a bookworm for two reasons:
1. can you consider a bookworm who only read books which interests her/him? and,
2. how many books does a person need to read for him/her to be considered a bookworm?
on question number 1...I've read a lot of books and pocketbooks, from romance to suspense, from case-solving plots to even simple works of bob ong but only because they pass my 'criteria' for a good book...what are my criteria? first, the cover should be interesting and nice, second, titles should be intriguing(intriguing? not exactly..maybe titles that will make you wonder and will motivate you to open the pages of it c: ), and lastly, the plot and the theme are inspiring, where i get to cry or maybe leave a smile on my face..something that is filled with emotions that upon closing the last page of it..you still crave to read it again : )i usually read books which revolves its theme on love and life...something i can really relate to and something that will serve as my 'motivational force' to continue with my life like my fave book---for one more day by mitch albom. this book is my little bible because i was really moved by the story and this was my confidant when the time i can't find any light...(emo? hehe:)) try to read it, it's really great...it will shed you light regarding the importance of life, time and our mothers)
on question number two, really, how many books does a person need to have or read in order to consider himself a bookworm? or numbers really don't matter as long as you read books? i don't know...can somebody answer : )
now, i still don't know if i'm a bookworm...if you have any books that might pass my criteria, feel free to lend it to me...hehe :))

ReplyDeleteo0oops...we're the same also,
ReplyDeleteI to sometimes look at first the title of the book, before i decided to read it...Then next is, what is the story all about...
and i just remembered, your "for one more day" pocketbook is still with me...peace...
and its Ma. Kriscelle R. Perez who influenced me to read pocketbooks....
I already read of the book "For One More Day" and I certainly agree with you that it's really great! That book was really interesting... really really!:D
ReplyDeleteI just borrowed it from one of my friends(hmmm...that book was yours right? haha. I'm not that sure but i think so) Thanks for lending me that book!
=))
We have the same preference in picking a book! I think the number of books doesn't matter. For my opinion, being a bookworm is someone who ALWAYS reads books during his/her spare time. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, Mitch Albom is a great author and her books are really great! ♥
I think we only read books which interests us.
ReplyDeleteI'm really curious about Mitch Albom. I haven't seen or read any of her works. I think I should grab one of her books.
korina: actually his a boy :) you should really grab one:)
ReplyDeletemariel: yah, maybe the number doesn't really matter...
clariz: yep, that's my book :)
carmina: return it!...hehe:))
